Create-A-Tour is committed to providing our services in an environmentally friendly manner and minimising the impact of our day tours on the natural environment. To ensure a sustainable tourism operation Create-A-Tour has incorporated various methods including training staff on environmental protection, working actively with government and local communities to develop appropriate solutions to issues and create environmental goals.
Create-A-Tour staff engage in active monitoring of natural areas used on our Day Tours in regards to wildlife populations through regular surveys and also any potential hazards or damage done to the wildlife or their natural habitat.
Our Day Tours focus on offering interesting ways to learn about the wildlife and environment with an operator that uses resources wisely, contributing to conservation of the environment and helping local communities.
The Ecotourism Certification is an assurance that certified products are backed by a commitment to sustainable practices and provides high quality nature-based tourism experiences.
The following DAY TOURS have been certified by Ecotourism Australia –
BRISBANE URBAN WILDLIFE DAYTOUR*
Viewing local wildlife in its natural environment and within the Brisbane city suburbs. Tours include various habitats including Eucalypt Forest, mangroves, wetlands, rainforest and urban landscapes. Plenty of birds species as well as viewing Reptiles, Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Red Necked Wallabies, Flying Fox colonies and occasionally koalas in the wild.
Within one of the regions many National Parks. This may involve fully guided rainforest walks at Lamington National Park (Binna Burra or O’Reillys) or Springbrook. Other tour destinations may include Brisbane Forest Park with its Freshwater Creek Display, the Coastal track at Noosa or a mountain rainforest walk at Main Range (Cunninghams Gap). Visit waterfalls, Ancient Rainforests or beaches and view our unique flora and fauna.
BEACHES and HINTERLAND DAYTOUR*
Travel to either the Gold or Sunshine Coast areas and combines golden beaches with country charm. The Gold Coast ecotour combines the Spit & Broadwater and Surfers Paradise with either Mt Tamborine or Springbrook rainforest and hinterland villages featuring spectacular lookouts, galleries, local produce and wineries. The Sunshine Coast ecotour includes views of the Glasshouse Mountains, local attractions and hinterland villages of Maleny and Montville.
TOOWOOMBA and COUNTRY DAYTOUR*
Travel west to the Lockyer Valley & Darling Downs region. Toowoomba the Garden City with its historical Cobb and Co Museum and scenic lookouts also boasts some great wildlife habitats and spectacular Street Art. Stop at Marburg village and visit the Emu Farm or check out the local Antiques. The surrounding countryside has local produce on show and plenty of gourmet treats.

Promoting Wildlife Protection and Conservation- We regularly assist in local surveys with Birds Qld and as a member of WPSQ donate towards programs such as Platycount 2016 as well as to groups like The Moggill Koala Hospital and Koala Ambulance.
Reducing waste- only reusable water bottles and crockery are used. Collecting rubbish others have left behind to be recycled or disposed of correctly.
Bulk buying local products and using as little plastic as possible.
Uniforms are made by Mountain Design and shirts are created from recycled plastic water bottles.
Saving Water- Vehicle is handwashed using collected rain water in tanks.
Tread Lightly- Stay to paths, remove all rubbish, take only photos and leave only footprints.

To aid in Conservation efforts in South east Queensland, Create-A-Tour is a member of Wildlife Tourism Australia, Wildlife Preservation Society of QLD & Birds QLD. Regular attendance at workshops, conferences and participation in ongoing surveys within the local area are part of our commitment to increase awareness for habitat preservation & wildlife conservation.
